UniNats 2007 - totally rad!

How good was UniNats 2007? Well, feedback from cyberspace rated Uninats as varyingly: "rad" "wicked sick" "mint" "awesome" and "grouse" - so we're very happy about that and hope that you all enjoyed yourselves!

For those keeping stats, we had 90 registered riders and another 50 or so non-riders, which is just mint.

Uninats 2007

The official results are now available on the Uninats results page - you'll need the password 'uninats2007' to access this page (to keep peoples personal details out of search engines).

The collection of photo and video links is also growing - we have more than 300 photos linked in different albums, half a dozen video links of Uninats action, and the place-winning videos from the video competition. Check out all the updates at the photo and videos page.

You can submit own photos and links to the page, and there will also be prizes for the best pictures and video.

So many thanks to those that volunteered before, during and after the event - especially the non-riders - you're awesome!

A big thanks to everyone who came along and participated - it was great fun and we can't wait to watch the next one!

Cris & Rochelle.

Asia Pacific Unicycle Hockey - Singapore

Team members from Sydney Hockey, Revesby and Canberra faced each other once more in Canberra on Sunday 28th October. The day was to help prepare players going to represent Australia at the Asia-Pacific Unicycle Hockey Convention in Singapore, 3 and 4 November 2007. Good luck to all the members of the Australian team! Report and pictures in the next newsletter.

Woodford folk festival

The AUS is once again taking part in the annual Woodford Folk Festival over the New Year period - this years AUS participation is being organised by Michael Jenkins. Riders get free entry to Woodford in return for doing what they enjoy most - riding a unicycle!

To any unicyclists interested in joining and putting on a performance and at this excellent festival please contact Michael via email at fauxfur [at] hotmail [dot] com or simply telephone 0421645691. Michael says:

We have been accepted for the 2007/08 event and a team is forming but we really need more riders to make it a great show and a heap of fun. We get paid a pittance towards costs, it but with a bit of that pittance I should be able to organize some rad "Woodford unicycle team 07-08" t-shirts, and whatever else we need. But really if there are any of you out there with a desire to join in on a cool festival, and have a streak of exhibitionist then I would love to have you on board.
